MEET THE COACHES

  • “Q” Wilson Jefferson

    FOUNDER, OWNER, COACH

Q has been embedded in fitness his entire life. He grew up watching his father lead outdoor boot camps, which ignited his passion and set his "heartwork" intentions.

After graduating from Amphi High School in 2009, he became a trainer at SWAT Fitness, a staple in the Tucson community for almost 40 years.

But after being fired in 2012, he took some time to reflect. That's when things got interesting. In 2015, he purchased the business.

After five successful years with SWAT, the 2020 pandemic forced the fitness community to shift and think critically about how to keep Tucson active. Soon after, Q moved the gym to the heart of downtown Tucson and rebranded it to “The Ruckus Room.”

In 2023, he brought the ruckus gang home to where it all started, in Northwest Tucson. The Ruckus Room Northwest is the newest location and is Tucson's only outdoor group training facility.

  • Gavin Davis

    COACH

As a decorated high school athlete born and raised in Tucson, Gavin developed a love for training and the weight room. He embraced the grind required to excel and discovered a passion for watching teammates improve and celebrate.

The Ruckus Room has become Gavin's home away from home, where he continues supporting fitness-focused individuals and motivating others.

Gavin is pursuing a degree in psychiatry from the University of Arizona, to support underserved communities. He is also learning sign language to offer services to a population that has been historically underserved.

Gavin coaches group classes, holds personal training sessions and runs the Ruckus Room’s Brotherhood Challenge.

When he's not coaching or in the classroom, you can catch him playing soccer, spending time with his family and friends, or at home with his dog, Matches.

  • Shauna Winton

    TRAINER

Shauna has been a health and fitness coach for four years.

She believes that fitness goes beyond the hour you spend in the gym, and it carries into the mindset and mentality that you take home with you. Her fitness journey started at home with 5 lb weights, which helped her become an empowered and confident woman.

Her passion is to help as many women and little ladies find the drive to be the best versions of themselves.

As a first-generation immigrant from Ireland, she values heart work and making a positive impact within the community.
